Pioneer Intro

Pioneer OSB Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Besgrade Plywood Sdn Bhd was established in 2015.The history of PioneerOSB^TM began when the founder of Besgrade Plywood Sdn Bhd resolved to carve a new beginning for the wood industry in Malaysia. His decision marked the start of the first and only Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant in Southeast Asia. Located in the Pokok Sena , Kedah, our headquarters covers an area of 48.5 hectares. With only 117 employees in the company, we have an annual capacity of 200,000 m3.

Backed by over two decades of experience manufacturing the highest quality wood products, PioneerOSB^TM is not only the first and only producer of OSB in Southeast Asia but it also holds the distinction of being the first in the world to produce OSB from tropical hardwood.

The production of OSB is an investment project that costs over USD70million. Our world-class facilities ensure products of premium quality. Application of our extensive experience and continuous R&D further enhance the manufacturing process, resulting in better quality and usability of OSB products that users know they can trust.The state-of-the-art fully automated production lines are equipped with the most advanced equipment from Dieffenbacher Gmbh (Germany), Kadant Inc (Canada), and Vyncke N.V. (Belgium). Combined with formaldehyde-free PMDI resin, we produce cost-effective, environmentally friendly, structural and safe green building materials as a better alternative for the industry.

It took years of experimentation, learning and perseverance before OSB was finally accepted by the industry as a green, safe and durable wood panel. In the process, we have proven that determination and hard work are indeed keys to success.
